PORT MORESBY - It was a tough match between Taurama Sons and Gordons Kokofas in the premiere division, to see who meets Dockers in what is expected to be a heated grand final match.
Murray Barracks Oval witnessed plenty of AFL action as the 2013 BSP Cup concluded its preliminary final matches.
Competition heavy weights Moniplus Taurama Sons faced Digicel Gordons Kokofas in the senior Preliminary Final for the right to play Lamana Dockers in the season decider next weekend.
Moniplus Taurama Sons can cap a dream debut season with a victory over Digicel Gordons Kokofas, but The Sons were outgunned by the dominant Dockers last weekend, showing enough to indicate they are capable of taking out the 2013 title.
Kokofas with a wealth of finals experience were given stiff opposition, and it can be expected that players such as Stephen Lai, John Vincent, Paul Phillip and Sunny Yogomina will perform well.
While hurting from last year’s Grand Final loss to Moore University Tigers, they will be hungry for another crack at the premiership.
Experienced Australian ex-pats Jacob Osbourne (Taurama) and Gary Johnson (Gordons) had a good run in the line-up for their respective teams.
In the meantime, Kwila Gulf Giants have booked a spot against Defense in the Under 18 AFL Grand final next week. [EMTV]
