LAE (MADANG) - Lack of a decent communication system is affecting day to day police operations in the Madang Province.
Chief Inspector and Acting Provincial Police Commander for Madang Ben Neneo told PNG Loop this today.
He said, ” We have no two-way radio communication system in all our police vehicles, stations and the base.
“Most of the time we operate on our own, thus many times we respond to crime very late. We are using our personal mobile phones to do police duties and many times when officers turn them off, it is very difficult to get in touch with them.” he added.
Neneo will be discussing with the new Administrator of Madang, Daniel Aloi, about this as one of the main factors affecting police efficiency in the province. [PNGLoop]
